VoiceMaker

Rate Limits & Credits

VoiceMaker enforces rate limits at the API gateway to ensure fair usage and platform stability, and meters every billable request in credits.

Rate limits

Limits are applied per minute, per plan. Requests beyond your limit receive a 429 Too Many Requests response.

PlanRequests / minConcurrent jobsMax file sizeAPI access

Who can call the API

The API is enabled for Growth, Pro, and Enterprise plans, or any account with a purchased credit balance. Free and Starter accounts must hold purchased credits to make API calls.

Rate-limit headers

Responses include headers describing your current limit window:

HeaderDescription
X-Request-IdUnique ID for the request (also in the JSON body).
X-RateLimit-LimitRequests allowed in the current 60-second window.
X-RateLimit-RemainingRequests remaining in the current window.
X-RateLimit-ResetUnix timestamp when the window resets.
Retry-AfterSeconds to wait before retrying (sent on 429 only).

Credit system

VoiceMaker uses a unified credit balance. Each module consumes credits based on the work performed.

ModuleBillable unitCredit cost
Transcription (ASR)per second of audio5
Text-to-Speech (TTS)per character1
Animateper second of video50
Explain (LLM)per token1

Estimating cost

A 60-second transcription costs about 60 × 5 = 300 credits. A 200-character TTS request costs about 200 × 1 = 200 credits. Costs are rounded up to whole credits.

Buying credits

Credits are purchased as packs (one-time, not a recurring subscription) and never expire while your balance is active. See current pack pricing on the pricing page. Track consumption with the Usage & Billing endpoints.
